Winter is here!

Things have been rather quiet onboard SV Rhona H over the past week.

We have been taking advantage of a quick break in preparation for the upcoming summer season.

SV Rhona H is now on the “Tiger Track” Map. Check it out …..

Inclement weather: sadly cancelled all sails

Todays forecast on Met Eye didn’t look good so made the decision to cancel all trips. Reality is the wind is gusting and rain coming in squalls.

It wouldn’t have been very pleasant so a day of maintenance and catching up with paperwork!

Lets hope it clears by Thursday so we can decorate the boat and sail Friday night for Dark MOFO.

Winter Warmer sail today

it was certainly a winter warmer sail this afternoon. We braved the threatening rain (that only lasted about two minutes) and had a beautiful sail under the Tasman Bridge and around Battery Point.

Enjoyed watching a ship come into port, and possibly being a tourist attraction for them as they arrived into Hobart, very friendly crew onboard!

Our guests were great, too and hope to see them again one day.

Sailing today

Morning all on what was another foggy day in Hobart. We are making the most of today and will be going out this afternoon.

Its great weather for the seagulls and SV Rhona H is so much happier doing what she loves best: getting out from the docks and sailing. Join us this afternoon as we sail under the Tasman Bridge and around Battery Point. No doubt we’ll have some of the local birds accompanying us.

Hot beverages onboard to warm up along with our famous environmentally friendly Peter Alexander Hot Water bottles.
